Early Admission Deadline

February 14, 2025 – Students will be notified of their admittance status by 5pm CST
Regular Admission Deadline
March 14, 2025 – Online Application Forms Due
March 21, 2025 – All supporting materials are due
April 18, 2025 – Students will be notified of their admittance status by 5pm CST
Late Admission: We are still accepting applications for the Screenwriting Concentration until further notice. Students applying for late admission are asked to complete their supporting materials within one week of submitting their online application.
Students will have one week to Accept or Decline their spot if admitted.
Eligibility
The Film & Video Division of the NHSI is a competitive program. Application decisions, made by the Admissions Committee, are based on ability and merit. Enrollment is limited.
If you would like to apply to the NHSI Film & Video Division, you should:
- Be currently enrolled in your sophomore or junior year of high school
- Rank academically in or near the top 30% of your high school class
- Meet a high standard of character, dependability, and intelligence
- Give evidence of special ability or substantial interest in the media arts
How to Apply
- Submit the National High School Institute Application including $60 application fee.
- You will receive an email confirmation from the NHSI within 1-3 business days of applying. That email contains guidelines on how to submit the supporting materials required to complete your application.
- Once we’ve processed your supporting materials, which may include two essays, a resume, letter of recommendation, test scores, and current transcript, we will send you an email confirmation.
