Students will have one week to Accept or Decline their spot if admitted.
Late Admission Deadline
We are accepting late applications for the Production and Screenwriting concentrations on a rolling basis. Serious applicants should apply asap, and their application will be reviewed within a few days of completion.
Eligibility
The Film & Video Division of the NHSI is a competitive program. Application decisions, made by the Admissions Committee, are based on ability and merit. Enrollment is limited. If you would like to apply to the NHSI Film & Video Division, you must apply in your sophomore or junior year, graduating in 2028 or 2029. Additionally, competitive applicants:
- Rank academically in or near the top 30% of their high school class, or have at least a “B” average
- Meet a high standard of character, responsibility, motivation, and scholastic ability
- Give evidence of special ability or substantial interest in the media arts.
How to Apply
- Submit the National High School Institute Application including $60 application fee.
- You will receive an email confirmation from the NHSI within 1-3 business days of applying. That email contains guidelines on how to submit the supporting materials required to complete your application.
- Once we’ve processed your supporting materials, which may include two essays, a resume, letter of recommendation, test scores, and current transcript, we will send you an email confirmation.
