Cherubs apply what they are learning during the day to a fully-realized rehearsal process every evening. All students not in the Stage Management & Design/Tech track are cast in a 60-minute play at the start of the program. SMDT students serve on a management team for each production instead, working alongside the director for each rehearsal and managing the run of the show during performance week. Each production is directed by a professional in the industry from the first rehearsal through opening, providing an unmatched experience for what a college theatre program is like. Students perform and manage these plays at the end of their 5-weeks for friends and family, complete with costumes, sets, sound, and lights – all built, programmed, and run by Cherubs.

Students also serve on a Crew for one of the productions that they are not performing in or managing, reflecting the same requirements for undergraduate theatre programs, and giving every student a well-rounded theatrical experience.
